Institute of Physical Chemistry
The Institute of Physical Chemistry has nine scientific sections. It also accommodates the department service center for electron microscopy. Research focuses on the investigation of nanoscopic materials. Close contacts exist with the "Fraunhoferzentrum für angewandte Nanotechnologie (Fraunhofer CAN)", as well as with the "Helmholtz-Zentrum Geesthacht (HZG)". The Institute of Physical Chemistry contributes significantly to the Federal Cluster of Excellence „The Hamburg Centre for Ultrafast Imaging (CUI)“.
