Macromolecular chemistry focus: Technical Polymer Chemistry (Prof. Luinstra/Dr. Pauer):
The scientists and technicians have such an extensive equipment fleet at their disposal that the complete spectrum from monomer supply to (catalytic) process control to materials science processing and testing can be carried out directly at the institute. In addition, within the network of the Department of Chemistry, there is access to further measuring instruments of the Scientific Services for more specificquestions.
An overview of a large part of the facilities and measuring instruments can be found under the following points:

Technical chemistry focus: catalytic reaction technology and inorganic-technical chemistry (Prof. Albert)
The institute has a number of experimental plants for performing experimental tests in the field of technical chemistry.
Catalytic reaction technology: High-pressure oxidation reactions as well as high-pressure reduction reactions can be realized in different reactor types with volumes between 10-2000 ml. We also scale up various processes to miniplants. Our plant portfolio is rounded off by several membrane plants for the recovery of homogeneous catalysts.
Inorganic-technical chemistry: For the synthesis of various model compounds and catalysts, further experimental setups as well as a calcination and reduction furnace are available. We can also perform the analysis of the synthesized model compounds and catalysts as well as the analysis of the reaction products ourselves in our working group using various analytical methods.
