The research activities focus on the investigation, synthesis and properties of polymeric materials. This includes the provision of new types of monomers and catalysts, process control and materials science materials testing. We produce polymers via catalytic reactions, study catalysts and their effect on the polymerization process and transfer these reactions to the kilogram scale. Typical monomers are olefins, epoxides, CO2, alcohols and aldehydes. The polymerization processes are carried out in partially automated polymerization plants from 100 mL to 10 L.
