Conference travel grants
Eligibility
One of the declared aims of the Niemann Foundation is to foster the professional development of future pharmacologists, pharmacists, and professionals working in similar fields.
Doctoral researchers at the Institute of Pharmacy, pharmacology doctoral researchers, and doctoral researchers at hospital pharmacies in Hamburg are eligible to apply.
Application documents
- Short description (max. 2 page) / poster / program (where appropriate, example from previous year)
- Short evaluation from the subject representative about
- conference focus and relevance
- state of research within the project to be presented
- quality of the research findings to be presented
- applicant’s conference experience
- Written justification from the doctoral researcher and an overview of the findings to be presented (abstract or draft abstract if the conference is still several months away and the full research findings are not yet available; max. 2 pages)
- Doctoral researcher’s curriculum vitae including a list of the key publications (each max. 2 pages)
- Application for a conference travel grant (PDF), signed by the subject representative
Deadlines
- Submit an uncertified copy of your full application (copiable, A4 format) to the foundation’s address via your subject representative. The application deadlines are 28 February (or 31 March) for the spring funding period and 31 August for the fall funding period.
- The grant award committee meets every year in October.
