The Technical Electrocatalysis Laboratory is focused on the design of advanced nano-structured materials combined with in-situ, operando and ex-situ analytical techniques for various electrochemical reactions, that are occurring in low temperature fuel cell and water electrolysis systems.

Our research is committed to a sustainable future and supports the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) proposed from the United Nations in 2025.

Strategic Partnerships and Initiatives

Together with our strategic partners, we support the transfer of knowledge from the university environment to commercial activities as well as from laboratory bench to industrially relevant scale. "Global thinking, local acting" – that is our motivation within the Japanese-German Green Hydrogen Material Laboratory.
