Research Topic

Marcel Dohrmann is working on Monte-Carlo-Simulations of gold nanoparticle growth, energy calculations of excitons in semiconductor nanoparticles and optical characterization of semiconductor materials by laser applications. In the moment, the focus is the investigation of semiconductor double dot in rod systems. These systems consist of three different semiconductor materials with different bulk band gaps, which allows the tuning of band gap in a nanoparticle.
