About NaNaX
History of Nanoscience with Nanocrystals international conference series:
NaNaX was established in Munich, Germany 2003 and it was organized by Jochen Feldmann, Hermann Gaub, Wolfgang Parak, and Andrey Rogach. The success of this first event was the motivation to continue with NaNaX 2, which was held in Grenoble, France 2006 and it was organized by Peter Reiss and Andrey Rogach. NaNaX 3 took place in Lecce, Italy 2008 and it was organized by Roman Krahne, Liberato Manna, and Wolfgang Parak. During this time it became apparent that the NanaX series was a very successful and popular event, which we were obliged to continue and evolve and it was also decided that this event should happen every two years. Thus, NaNaX 4 was held in Munich, Germany for one more time in 2010 and it was organized by Jochen Feldmann, Peter Reiss, and Andrey Rogach. Nanax 5 was organized in Malaga, Spain 2012 by Jesus de la Fuente, Luis Liz Marzan and Wolfgang Parak. Nanax 6 took place in Bad Hofgastein, Austria 2014 and it was hosted by Wolfgang Heiss, Maksym Kovalenko, Peter Reiss and Andrey Rogach. In 2016 Nanax 7 was organized in Marburg, a typical small town of Germany established back in 1140. It is worth to mention that Marburg is the seat of the oldest protestant-founded university in the world. The University of Marburg was founded back in 1527. The conference organizers were Ramon Alvarez Puebla, Antonis Kanaras, Victor Punktes, and Wolfgang Parak. NaNaX 8 took place 2017 in Braga, Portugal, organized by Andrey Rogach, Mikhail Vasilevskiy, and Peter Reiss.
