On April 9, 2026, Prof. Dr. Jakob Albert and Dr. Dorothea Voß from the Institute of Technical and Macromolecular Chemistry at the University of Hamburg visited the Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Nanomaterials Center and the Zero Emission MIRAI Research Center at the University of Yamanashi in Japan at the invitation of their Japanese colleagues.
During our visit, we gained insight into research activities related to hydrogen and fuel cell nanomaterials, as well as the new Zero Emission MIRAI Lab. We would like to express our sincere gratitude for the in-depth discussions with the lead researchers, Prof. Dr. Akihiro Iiyama and Prof. Dr. Katsuyoshi Kakinuma (Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Nanomaterials Center) and Prof. Toshihiro Miyao (Zero Emission MIRAI Research Center), as well as for the very friendly atmosphere and, in particular, for the traditional Japanese meal at the restaurant “Okukyo,” which served as a perfect conclusion to an eventful day in Kofu.
