Last week, Sebastian Wicha, Julian Held and Sandra Witta attended the DPhG Annual Meeting in Regensburg.
Under the theme of “From Targets to Therapies,” Sebastian gave a comprehensive Key Note Lecture on “Pharmacometrics – quantitative insights into drug development and patient care,” highlighting the role of pharmacometrics in providing an interdependent framework for linking clinical, in vitro and ex vivo research, fostering the rational use of medication.
Julian Held presented his poster on the “Optimal design of hollow infection model experiments leveraging static time-kill data” and Sandra Witta presented a poster on an “Evaluation of a limited sampling strategy for busulfan therapeutic drug monitoring in allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (allo-HSCT) patients.”
We are very grateful to the DPhG poster committee for awarding the poster prize in clinical pharmacy to Sandra Witta for her work in our collaborative project with PD Dr. Claudia Langebrake, Dr. Adrin Dadkhah and Francis Ayuk at the Universitätsklinikum Hamburg Eppendorf.
Many thanks to the organizers of Deutsche Pharmazeutische Gesellschaft e.V. (DPhG) for the opportunity to present our work and for hosting such a nice event. We look forward to next year’s DPhG Meeting in Berlin!
