ID Week & EPASG postgraduate course in Boston

From October 11-15  Sebastian Wicha and Julian Ermtraud attended this year's ID Week in Boston. Julian presented his work on biomarker guided model informed precision dosing of vancomycin in a poster session. Between interesting presentations and meetings with colleagues from all over the world, they got the chance to discover Boston, too.

On the days before, the EPASG (ESCMID Study Group for PK/PD) postgraduate course on optimized dosing of antibiotics took place. Sebastian was one the organizers and speakers who contributed presentations about “Basics of Dosing” and “Dosing decision support systems”.  Julian participated and we heard many great interactive presentations on breakpoints, dosing approaches, antiviral pharmacology, the use of prolonged infusions, preclinical models, tissue penetration and much more!
