Innovation Prize for Pharmacy
Eligibility
One of the declared aims of the Niemann Foundation is to foster the professional development of future pharmacologists, pharmacists, and professionals working in similar fields.
Doctoral researchers at the Institute of Pharmacy, pharmacology doctoral researchers, and doctoral researchers at hospital pharmacies in Hamburg are eligible to apply.
Application documents
- Doctoral dissertation and abstract (max. 2 pages)
- Short evaluation of the doctoral dissertation (max. 4 pages) from the subject representative about
- relevance, innovation, clarity, and completeness of the presentation of the state of research
- quality and quantity of the doctoral dissertation findings
- appropriateness of the critical consideration of one’s own and other research findings
- form, comprehensibility, technical accuracy
- publication of findings in scientific journals to date
- Written justification from the doctoral researcher about the new findings achieved during the work, which new methods have been established, and any special social commitment or similar (max. 2 pages)
- Doctoral researcher’s curriculum vitae including a list of key publications (each max. 2 pages)
- Suggestion for use of the prize money (e.g., book list)
Deadlines
- Submit an uncertified copy of your full application (copiable, A4 format) to the foundation address via your subject representative. The application deadline is 28 February (or 31 March).
- The award committee meets every April (or May).
- The work is presented and prizewinners honored in May/June during the Day of Pharmacy at Universität Hamburg.
