New publication: Meropenem/ fosfomycin combinations against resistant Klebsiella pneumoniae

We are happy to share that we published a new paper in the Journal of Antimicrobial Chemotherapy! The paper by Aneeq Farooq et al. explores the use of combination therapies of meropenem and fosfomycin against Klebsiella pneumoniae using time kill and hollow-fiber infection models. A strong synergistic killing effect was observed between the two antibiotics in meropenem-resistant isolates. The hollow fiber study indicates that these results may be translatable into the clinical setting.
