Lap Options
For lab options, we offer research projects related to molecular modelling and to medicinal chemistry assisted by computer methods. These projects will be worked on in small groups during the holidays. In the past years, the following projects have been carried out:
- C. Petersen: Docking of a Series of Paullones into the ATP-Binding Site of CDK1 and GSK-3β
- S. Kruggel: Docking of Paullones into the Active Site of CDK5 using FlexX and FlexS, Evaluation of a corresponding CoMSIA Analysis
- J.H. Löhr and T. Wagner: Characterization of the ATP Binding Pockets of Human GSK-3β with the Help of Molecular Interaction Fields (MIFás).
- S. Vogel: Building of a Homology Model of Plasmodium falciparum Glycogen Synthase Kinase-3
- S. Kienapfel and L. Petersen: Studies on the Binding Mode of JM111a and its Derivatives in the ATP Binding Pocket of SRC Tyrosine Kinase
- M. Giertz and Moritz Münsterberg: Evaluation of the Docking Programme FRED Comparative Crossdocking of various GSK-GSK-3β Inhibitors.
- S. Kellermann and J. Holstein: Comparative study of ATP Binding Pockets of Available X-Ray structures of the Protein Kinases BRAF andMEK (research project in the chemistry master course)
