Research Topic

Florian Johst is investigating the emission from individual semiconductor nanoparticles. He is interested in the emission at cryogenic conditions below 15 K. These conditions reduce linewidth of the emission significantly, thereby, enabling the observation of additional emission features. Furthermore, he is comparing the observations from the laboratory with quantum mechanical calculations within the effective mass approximation.
