CSSB - Structural cell biology of viruses
„Research at the CSSB pursues an integrative structural biology approach that combines the results of a broad spectrum of innovative imaging technologies and methods, covering a wide range of resolution scales - typically from the atomic to the cellular level - to understand the basic mechanisms of infection processes in a mechanistic way. In addition to spatial information, the analysis of the dynamics of molecular interaction networks in infections is crucial. Only in combination can a complete picture of host-pathogen interactions and their common principles be obtained."
