FEBS Advanced Course BIOMOLECULES IN ACTION III

is an advanced course aimed for MSc students, PhD students and early career PostDocs working in analytical chemistry biochemistry, molecular biology, medicine, biophysics or crystallography. The course will cover the latest, most applicable, and emerging bioanalytical methods applied in life sciences to characterize biomolecules, as well as biomolecular interactions, with a strong focus to involve lecturers and tutors that are, besides being excellent teachers, well recognized as experts in distinct topics. Today large facilities such as DESY, XFEL, Diamond, ESRF, PSI and Max Lab offer - particularly in molecular and structural biology - sophisticated analytical methods and equipment for sample preparation and scoring in order to perform measurements at high intensive and pulsed radiation sources. DESY with its high intensive synchrotron radiation, UV and X-ray Free Electron Laser Radiation in combination with scattering and spectroscopic beamlines and sample preparation infrastructure offers an ideal and inspiring location to implement and undertake the course, dedicated to state-of-the-art bioanalytical techniques in bio-macromolecular research.
