School Vacation Course

Every year, high school students have the opportunity to explore various research fields at the Department of Chemistry at the University of Hamburg. Participants practiced general chemical lab work and got the chance to visit two research groups over the course of the past two days, gaining insight into the exciting work being done in the field of chemistry, biochemistry, food chemistry or pharmacy.

This year in our group, students did some hands-on experiments when analyzing samples in the lab. Afterwards, they were introduced to the foundations of pharmacometrics and dose individualization based on their practical results.

The Chemistry Summer Course not only fosters an interest in scientific subjects but also helps students explore their own career perspectives in research. We look forward to welcoming many enthusiastic young researchers!
