CRYSPOM VI - Crystallization in porous media, 19.-21.09.2018
in Hamburg
The workshop focuses on fundamental research of crystallization in porous materials. It aims at a better understanding of the damage mechanism in building materials and natural stone and the development of preventive and protective treatment of cultural objects.
Another focus of the workshop is on crystallization in nanomaterials.
The idea is to bring together leading researchers and Ph.D. students to provide for a constructive and open dialogue. Also it seeks to incite collaborations between theorists and experimentalists on an international level.
Topics
- Nucleation and crystal growth
- crystallization pressure and its relation with damage
- Crystallization in nano-confinement
- Behavior of salt mixtures
- Influence of salts on moisture transport and drying
- Measures for prevention or remediation of salt decay
- Methods for control of crystallization
