Doctoral Thesis Defense

On Monday May 6, Anneke Himstedt successfully defended her doctoral thesis titled “Modelling and simulation to improve the mechanistic understanding of physiological processes associated with the inhalation route of drug administration”. She published three first author publications during her time with us in collaboration with Boehringer Ingelheim.

Anneke, we look back at a very successful time. Thank you for your contributions, we wish you great accomplishment for your future ventures and career path!

Her supervisor at Boehringer Ingelheim, Jens Borghardt, also joined Anneke's defense and even stayed one more day. We had  a workshop and presentation about working as PKPD Modelling Scientists in the Drug Discovery Stage. Thank you, Jens, for sharing insights into the challenges and opportunities involved in Discovery Research. We are very appreciative of the thought-provoking discussions!
