Diploma thesis:
"Ethen/Norbornene Copolymerization with Palladium Diimin catalysts - performance and optimization of a ligand screening"
In my diploma thesis, I investigated the copolymerization of ethene and norbornene with palladium a-diimine catalysts. A ligand library of 16 a-diimines was tested in a screening-like procedure in order to identify catalysts with an interesting performance concerning incorporation of norbornene, microstructure, and molar mass. The polymerization conditions and sequence were optimized and standardized.
PhD thesis:
"Homo- and copolymerization of cyclic olefins with catalysts based on late transition metals"
In my PhD thesis, I investigate in detail the behavior of discrete cationic a-diimine catalysts concerning the copolymerization of ethene and norbornene. Additional focus lies on the synthesis of new catalysts and on the copolymerization of ethene and functional substituted norbornene derivatives.
