Christian Klinke (Head of group, x8210)

He studied physics at the University of Karlsruhe (Germany) where he also obtained his diploma degree in the group of Thomas Schimmel. In March 2000 he joined the group of Klaus Kern at the Institute of Experimental Physics of the EPFL (Lausanne, Switzerland). Then from 2003 on he worked as Post-Doc at the IBM TJ Watson Research Center (Yorktown Heights, USA) in the group of Phaedon Avouris. In 2006 then he became member of the Horst Weller group at the Universitiy of Hamburg (Germany). Since 2007 he is assistant professor at the University of Hamburg. In 2009 he received the German Nanotech Prize (Nanowissenschaftspreis, AGeNT-D/BMBF).

Yuxue Cai (PhD student, x6444)

Yuxue Cai studies the adsorption of semiconducting nanoparticles on modern carbon structures and the electric transport through such composites.

Sedat Dogan (PhD student, x9048)

Sedat Dogan works on the electrical characterization of two-dimensional nanostructures.

Michaela Meyns (PhD student, x6444)

Michaela Meyns works on the synthesis and charge transport through combined semiconductor-metal nanoparticles.

Annette Wurl (PhD student, x9048)

Annette Wurl works on electric properties of functionalized carbon nanotubes.

Thomas Bielewicz (Diploma student, x9048)

Thomas Bielewicz works on the synthesis of sheet-like colloidal nanostructures.

Mirjam Volkmann (Diploma student, x6444)

Mirjam Volkmann works on the synthesis of combination of inorganic nanoparticles with nanotubes and the charge transport through such hybrid materials.
