7.5.4 Nickel-base amorphous alloys
Abstract
This chapter presents data on diffusion in nickel-base amorphous alloys like Ni-P alloy, Ni-P-Si alloy, Ni-P-C alloy, Ni-B-Si alloy, Ni-Zr alloy, Ni-Zr-Pd alloy, Ni-Nb alloy and Ni-Fe-Cr-P-B alloy. Various diffusants, preannealing temperature/time, temperature range of the diffusion experiment and diffusion coefficient, preexponential factor (D0) and activation enthalpy (Q) values are listed. In addition, the production methods of host alloy system like solid-state reaction, melt spinning, co-evaporation, ion-beam mixing, splat quenching and co-sputtering are indicated within the table.
