3.2.11 Noble metals

Abstract

This chapter lists data of impurity diffusion in copper (Cu), silver (Ag), and gold (Au) noble metals. Solute atoms, pre-exponential factor, activation enthalpy, and temperature range data are tabulated. Methods of determination include X-ray diffraction analysis, grinder sectioning, microtome sectioning, electrochemical sectioning, lathe sectioning, sputter sectioning and secondary ion mass spectroscopy (SIMS) analysis.
