3.2.5 Vanadium group metals

Abstract

This chapter compiles data of impurity diffusion in vanadium (V), niobium (Nb), and tantalum (Ta) vanadium group metals. Solute atoms, pre-exponential factor (D0) and activation enthalpy (Q) data are listed. The temperature range quoted is the range over which measurements were made and used to calculate the D0 and Q values. Methods include lathe sectioning, grinder sectioning, chemical sectioning, X-ray diffraction method, anodizing, stripping, and electron microprobe analysis.
