3.2.1 Alkali metals

Abstract

This chapter provides data on impurity diffusion in alkali metals like lithium (Li), sodium (Na) and potassium (K). Arrhenius parameters including preexponential factor (D0), activation enthalpy (Q) values, temperature range, and experimental methods are tabulated for these alkali metals. The methods of determination include microtome sectioning, isotope effect, diffusion couple method, and mass spectroscopy.
