Abstract

This chapter illustrates grain boundary diffusivity of metals (indium, chromium, nickel, lead, tin, zinc, silver, iron, and antimony) in alloys versus reciprocal temperature. The alloys include silver-gold alloys, copper-magnesium alloys, aluminum-copper alloys, aluminum-chromium alloys, gold-palladium alloys, aluminum-zinc alloys, copper-beryllium alloys, copper-silver alloys, copper-zinc alloys, iron-nickel alloys, copper-indium alloys, copper-nickel alloys, iron -zinc alloys, nickel-indium alloys, zirconium-calcium alloys, zirconium-hafnium alloys, and aluminum-copper alloys. Interphase boundary diffusivity, pre-exponential factor and activation energy of diffusion of indium in tin-germanium bicrystals are also illustrated.
