Diffusion in Solid Metals and Alloys · Figs. 1 - 47

Abstract

This chapter contains illustrations for grain boundary diffusivity of metals (silver, gold, cadmium, carbon, cobalt, chromium, copper, iron, nickel, antimony, oxygen, lead, tin, uranium, tungsten, and zinc) and ions (aluminum, oxygen, iodine, thorium, carbon and uranium ions) versus reciprocal temperature. Illustrations also include activation energy of grain boundary impurity diffusion of Zn in aluminum bicrystals versus tilt angle, twist angle, and reciprocal of the density of coincident sites, and pre-exponential factor of grain boundary impurity diffusion of Zn in aluminum bicrystals versus tilt angle and activation energy.
