Abstract

This chapter discusses photoemission and inverse photoemission spectrum of palladium and platinum. This chapter illustrates i) angle-resolved photoemission spectrum, photoemission spectrum at normal emission, photoemission intensity, projection of bulk band structure, inverse photoemission spectrum, high resolution soft X-ray photoemission spectrum and soft X-ray photoemission spectrum of palladium, ii) projection of the even symmetry bulk bands onto the (100) surface Brillouin zone of palladium, iii) dispersion of the image potential state on Pd(111), iv) high resolution angle-resolved photoelectron spectrum, angle-integrated photoemission spectrum, angle-resolved photoemission spectrum, normal incidence inverse photoemission spectrum, angle-resolved inverse photoemission spectrum, photoemission spectrum of platinum. Binding energies of occupied and unoccupied surface states on platinum surfaces are tabulated.
