Landolt-Börnstein - Group III Condensed Matter

Electronic and Vibrational Properties · Figs. 2 - 26

Abstract

This chapter presents tables and figures containing information on surface and materials such as silver (Ag), aluminum (Al), gold (Au), carbon (C), copper (Cu), gallium arsenide (GaAs), gallium selenide (GaSe), hafnium carbide (HfC), potassium bromide (KBr), potassium chloride (KCI), lithium fluoride (LiF), magnesium oxide (MgO), molybdenum (Mo), and sodium chloride (NaCl). Vibrational energies and frequencies for specific surface phonons at symmetry points and the method of measurement are tabulated. Various surfaces of a given material are ordered according to increasing number of non-zero Miller indices in the specification of the surfaces. Surface phonon dispersion curves measured by EELS and HATOF, and dispersion curves measured by neutron scattering are illustrated.
