Abstract

This chapter discusses electronic structures of metals such as molybdenum (Mo), ruthenium (Ru), rhodium (Rh), and palladium (Pd). This chapter illustrates i) deformation of the surface one-particle spectrum, spectral density of states, all-electron LDF FLAPW charge densities, dispersion of the three resonances, photoemission intensity, band structure, two-dimensional Fermi-surface of Mo, ii) layerwise local densities of states, projected bulk energy bands, and energy-level dispersions of Ru, iii) projected densities of electronic states, self-consistent conduction band electronic charge density, energy-level dispersions, surface band structure and layerwise local densities of states of Rh, iv) surface-state bands and projected band structure of Pd.
